Important Rules & Rights
What You Must Know Before Going

Critical legal and practical facts every Indian applicant must understand before arriving in Germany.

💶
Minimum Wage is Law
Germany's statutory minimum wage is €14.90/hour in 2026. No employer can legally pay you less — not even during probation. Report violations to the Zollbehörde.
📋
Register Within 14 Days
Register your address (Anmeldung) at the local Bürgeramt within 14 days of arrival. Without this you cannot open a bank account, receive salary or access health insurance.
🏠
Convert Visa to Residence Permit
Your entry visa is valid 90 days. Apply for Aufenthaltserlaubnis before it expires — at least 6 weeks before. Apply at the local Ausländerbehörde.
🚗
Indian License: 6 Months
Your Indian LMV license is valid 6 months from first registration in Germany. Use it to earn via Amazon Flex, DHL and Lieferando from Day 1. Convert to German Class B after 6 months.
👨‍👩‍👧
Family Can Join You
Once you have a valid residence permit and sufficient income, spouse and children can join under family reunification. Spouse also gets independent work rights.
🏛️
No More Informal Appeal
Since July 2025, Germany removed free informal visa appeals. A rejection means full re-application (€75 + 12 weeks) or legal challenge. This is why we review documents twice.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a Class 12 pass student go to Germany?+
Yes. Class 12 is the minimum for Ausbildung programs — you do not need a bachelor's degree. The most critical requirements are a German B1 certificate and a signed training contract from a German employer. With our guidance, we handle both.
How much can I earn during Ausbildung?+
Ausbildung stipends range from €800 to €1,600/month depending on field and year. Additionally, you can work up to 20 hours/week alongside training — at Germany's minimum wage of €14.90/hour that's an additional €800–1,000/month. Candidates with a driving license can start delivery driving (Amazon Flex, DHL) from Day 1 of arrival.
What is the APS certificate and is it mandatory?+
The APS (Academic Evaluation Centre) certificate verifies your Indian school/university documents are genuine. It has been mandatory for all Indian applicants since November 2022. Apply at APS New Delhi. It costs ₹18,000 and takes 4–6 weeks. Without it, the German embassy will not process your visa.
Do I need to speak German to work in Germany?+
For Ausbildung, B1 German is mandatory (B2 for healthcare). For work visas, many IT and tech companies operate in English. However, B1 German is required for most visa categories, B2 for healthcare. Learning German significantly improves career prospects and is required for Permanent Residency.
What is the EU Blue Card and who qualifies?+
The EU Blue Card is a premium work visa for highly qualified professionals earning above €45,300/year (€41,042 for shortage occupations). It leads to Permanent Residency in just 27 months with B1 German, versus 4 years for the regular work visa. It also grants easier family reunification and EU mobility rights.
Can I use my Indian driving license in Germany?+
Yes — your Indian LMV license is valid for 6 months after registering in Germany. Carry a certified German translation (ADAC format). After 6 months, convert to a German Class B license. This license enables you to start earning via Amazon Flex, DHL, Lieferando (€13.90–€16.70/hour) from the day you arrive.
What is the Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte)?+
The Chancenkarte is Germany's new points-based visa (since 2024) allowing skilled workers to come to Germany and search for work for up to 1 year without a prior job offer. You need 6 points: a university degree (3pts), German B2 (3pts), 2+ years experience (1pt), age under 35 (1pt). During this period you can work up to 20 hours/week.
Can Ausbildung lead to Permanent Residency?+
Absolutely. After completing Ausbildung you receive an 18-month job-seeker permit. Once in qualified employment, after 2 years you can apply for Niederlassungserlaubnis (Permanent Residency) — requiring B1 German, pension contributions and no criminal record. German citizenship is possible after 5–8 years total residence.
What if my visa application is rejected?+
Since July 2025, Germany abolished the informal appeal (remonstration) process. If rejected you must submit a completely fresh application with the full €75 fee again, or file a legal appeal in a German administrative court. This is precisely why we offer 2 full rounds of document review — to ensure your application is perfect the first time.
Can my family come to Germany with me?+
Yes. Once you have a valid residence permit and sufficient income, your spouse and minor children can join under family reunification rules. Your spouse also receives independent work rights in Germany — they do not need their own job offer. Basic German (A1) may be required for the spouse's visa.
